Epigenetic services

BloodIn the last decade one of the biggest break-through is the chromatin immunoprecipitation and its different modifications (Kuo, M.H. & Allis, C.D,1999 Methods 19, 425-433). With the help of this technique the connection between protein and DNA can be studied inside the cells. Significance of ChIP (Chromatin immunoprecipitation) technology is the possibility of studying the interactions between protein and DNA in native and unmodified state of cell.

It often happens that for each single study we need to examine only a well-defined question, and the experience for that is unavailable in every lab. In this case we are able to help you as the first Hungarian epigenetic service provider company.

Gene centered studies:

In this case we are ready to examine the existing connections between protein and DNA in a defined gene section. Initial sample is the cell line or primary cell culture. We may examine the presence of a defined protein in a specified gene section. The Endpoint of the study is QPCR, i.e. real time quantitative PCR measurement. In a typical ChIP experiment a so-called ChIP grade Antibody and the existence of a proven positive control genomic binding region are required. IgG control is used as negative control.

Whole genome approach:

The break-through of the last two years is ChIP Seq, i.e. chromatin immunoprecipitation product sequenced by high-throughput genome sequencer. In this approach we execute DNA – which is produced by the customer or our lab – preparation, sequencing and analysis of primary data.

MEDIP:

Methylated regions are selected by antibodies from the whole genomic DNA. This fractionated DNA is examined by QPCR on localized genomic regions or by sequencing on whole genome. Great advantage of methodology is that the isolation is possible from DNA, which means that previously established DNA banks may be examined.
